There are many benefits to private sessions: We are all unique individuals. Yoga Therapists look at the whole person, not just the presenting ailment, to help clients heal holistically. In yoga therapy we can look at the complexity of who you are while facing whatever you bring to the session whether this is insomnia, a desire to align your poses with more precision, emotional trauma, or assistance bringing back vitality after an injury, surgery or cancer treatment. Students have one-on-one attention and can learn poses, exercises and sequences that will help them with their individual needs. Tracy’s Yoga therapy, Pilates, Qigong, and Mindfulness education, as well as her career as a school teacher and her writing background, make these sessions unique. She will help students with their questions and concerns looking at their questions and concerns through variety of lenses. Current students can bring specific questions from classes as well as request alignment advise. We can go over breathing practices, core work, shoulder openers, home practice sequences—whatever the student desires.
Privates are great:
- For current students who want me to check their alignment and understanding of in-class instructions.
- For students to deepen their practice to the next level.
- For people who have never done yoga or Pilates before and want to learn about the practice before attending classes.
- For any individual who would like a holistic view into any ailment, trauma, pain from an age-old tradition and the most recent scientific research.
- For students to spend time learning safe alignment and modifications they can then bring with them into future classes.
- For students who have been out of their practices due to injury or surgery and want to explore safe home-practice possibilities and modifications for classes.
- For the teacher to cater to the individual student and help the student with postural alignment, balance, breath, releasing tension, strengthening, stretching and developing at-home routines.
- As a way for people to nurture themselves.
